Brownsville Launches Citywide Survey to Enhance Community Services

The City of Brownsville is set to launch a comprehensive citywide survey aimed at gauging public satisfaction and identifying community priorities. This initiative, requested during a recent City Commission retreat, seeks to better understand residents’ perspectives on various city services and areas for improvement.

The survey will cover topics such as customer service, building permits, drainage, streets, park maintenance, and wellness programs. To ensure balanced and transparent feedback, the questionnaire will be distributed across all income levels and neighborhoods.

Assistant City Manager Doro Garcia emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “Once we obtain these results, obviously, we want to create an action plan to see how we can improve the services where we have deficiencies, and in those services that we’re doing great, what can we do to make them better.”

The survey is expected to roll out within the next four to six weeks, with results made available to the public once data collection and analysis are complete. This effort underscores Brownsville’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its residents through informed decision-making and community engagement.
